Surviving Medicaid Audits: What Are We Seeing and How to Prepare


Myers and Stauffer kicked off Medicaid audits statewide for Connecticut SNFs; generally resulting in headaches for providers. In addition to the stress of being reviewed, audits can result in plans of correction, mandatory signature of statement admitting wrong-doing, and forced modification to MDSs. Join this session to learn common outcomes of audits so far in CT, opportunities to prepare for your review, and how to dispute unjustified MDS modifications.

• Review M&S Medicaid auditing trends for providers in CT
• Discuss opportunities to prepare for your Medicaid audit
• Explore use of the Optional State Assessment (OSA) MDS and steps to prepare for audits with this new assessment
